From the integration of the body and mind, this course seeks to recover human nature and expand on the level of consciousness. The artistic expression achieved by the imagination in dancing awakens one’s reason for existence, growth, sympathy, communication abilities, and creativity to recover the relationship. This fused and integrated course is also associated with the mental and physical health of the students.

This course investigates the concepts and essence of dance and summarizes the titles and classifications of dance according to the flow of art history. The students will understand the characteristics of each genre from the birth of dance art to modern times while comprehending the features and categories of Korean dance, ballet, and modern dance through watching diverse pieces of dance. The aim of this subject is to enhance the basic artistic knowledge of students by discussing the history and principles of dance art and the characteristics of different dance art genres.

The objective of this course is to promote creative and professional students as they study the basic capabilities that are essential for conducting cultural and arts activities. Also, it aims to enhance the expertise of the students so their value as core humanpower in the field can be expanded on. By obtaining and practicing knowledge for different fields, students will have the time to improve their practical abilities in the field and study the opportunities to enhance their capabilities as they plan training programs that are specialized to a certain topic.
